Shijie TLV-M (Vintage White)
A Telecaster:
Tele's strength is its unassuming simplicity, its place as the protean ground zero for all other solid body electric guitars. The sounds of country - bright twang, double stops, chicken pickin' - will forever be married to the Tele but the model has been used by trailblazing artists in nearly every genre. Artists like Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy page (early years) and Keith Richards, all have used Tele's to create the Tele-fuelled riffs. Those early sounds of twang, bite and snap are still what define its legacy and earn our ongoing love.
The Shijie Tele Vintage White conjures images of brightness, clarity and smoothness, It is Vintage White in color with Rosewood Fingerboard. The brightness when played is astounding but also warmth that others lack, the Shijie Tele has a superb neck, modern C type style. Kluson Vintage tuners. Gotoh locking tuners that will provides noticeable more sustain that allows easy slide with two Seymour Duncan Pickups and a low action.
Fit and Finish of the highest quality, the neck is the star of the show. Tone smoother and rounder. While low EQ the bridge has a defined snarl. With a 12 inch radius they are shaped to fit in an average adult’s hands and
are not too slim to make it difficult to play one string at a time. This guitar is light and so it is not difficult to carry around and are
easier to keep playing. The shape of the neck is also pretty nifty, as the neck with stainless steel frets has been designed to help
even further in the attempt to make their guitars easy to work with. Shijie guitars are professional playing guitars and are made to be played.
Shijie utilize high Kluson tuners, that come affixed to a roasted Canadian maple neck and Rosewood fretboard that makes playability easy as and that compliments the bone nut. The frets are stainless steel and are rolled to assist hand movement. A 12 inch radius is provided that is flatter for more modern playing and on the back a contour heal joint with internal extremely clean finishing, that overall depicts the quality control of the guitars produced.
Quality control is excellent with all electronics areas and wires shielded to deliver a perfect sound without unwanted hum or interruption. All guitars are inspected and set individually at the factory. In Australia further quality checks are performed and setups re-established before delivery. If any faults are found (this has never happened to date) the guitar will be returned while another one ordered or money refunded.
The sound quality of Shijie guitars is amazing,
especially when you take into consideration the price. Their guitars have
sound quality that can go up against models from the largest companies
while being much cheaper than said models. This makes them an excellent choice
for intermediate and advanced players alike, as they have features that are easy to
use for players of almost all skill levels. Once you get the hang of their
features, you can use said features to produce sounds of multiple different
varieties, making their guitars a great option if you are also part of a band.
The competition is Fender, PRS, Ibanez and others but
Shijie do match that challenge. Reviews from many players including Daryl Braun (see review) state the build and
detail was excellent with the best pickups. The Guitar also comes with a soft gig bag
not provided by Fender or Ibanez. So is the guitar a higher quality than a
Fender Player series? Musically it is equivalent or better.
Costs have increased in China but this Tele was supplied before the new USD increases the quality delivered is worth the money paid you will be getting a great guitar. when purchasing from overseas make sur you are dealing with a registered Shijie dealer as low cost models are usually imitations.
