Shijie Stratocaster SSH PRO Teal Green Metalic
The SSH Pro now has all the features you would expect from a PRO model.
Shijie guitars are designed for easy handling so that you can play while being as comfortable as possible all night long. They are shaped to fit in an average adult’s hands and are not too slim to make it difficult to play one string at a time, ready to bend and make the guitar sing. They are a medium light weight so that they aren’t difficult to carry around and are easier to keep playing for long periods. The shape of the neck is also pretty nifty, as it has been designed to help even further in the attempt to make their guitars easy to work with. The frets are stainless steel and are also rolled to assist quick hand movement.
Shijie high quality Kluson tuners with a roasted Canadian maple neck and fretboard that makes playability easy as, the frets are industry standard and rolled to assist hand movement. A 12-inch radius is provided that is flatter for more modern playing and on the back a contour heal joint with internal extremely clean finishing, that overall depicts the quality control of the guitars produced. A Custom humbucker and Custom 62 pickups made in Japan and hand rolled are installed with a slight stagger with great quality alpha pots connected and with shielding on the Alinico Japan pickups utilised. A two-point tremolo adjustable either side and screws for intonation as standard. The internals have a brass block with Addario strings as standard.
Overall, with a humbucker and two single coils the Shijie Stratocaster delivers a warm sound yet can be switched to the type of sound expected from a single coil Stratocaster and plays it with ease having the ability to switch between the different coils or combine them.
The sound quality of Shijie guitars is amazing,
especially when you take into consideration their price. Their guitars have
sound quality that can go up against some models from the largest companies
while being much cheaper than said models. This makes them an excellent choice
for advanced players, while the advanced features make it easy to
use for players of almost all skill levels. Once you get the hang of their
features, you can use said features to produce sounds of multiple different
varieties, making their guitars a great option when you are part of a band.
The competition is Fender, Ibanez and others but
Shijie does match that challenge. Reviews from many people state the build and
detail were excellent with great pickups. The Guitar does come with soft gig bag
not provided by Fender or Ibanez. So, is the guitar a higher quality than a
Fender Player series? Musically it is equivalent or better, but it does not have
the Fender name and doesn't need it.
While in recent times the cost has risen for Shijie (mainly due to Covid and Shipping increases) they still are one of the highest quality produced guitars in the market.
The build of the Stratocaster was stated as one of the best interiors ever seen by Darrel Braun. See review.
